Profile updated, station not on map.

    Is there anything that I need to do once I have pointed all-wetter.de to my wedaal.txt file?

    I have updated my profile and tried to add to the map but I do not see my station data.

    Also, just a note, under the profile settings, add station to map has not been translated to English (everything is in German).

    Thank you for un-locking the station.

    Is there a method to unlock that I missed or does it require email verification?

    Also, I did find my station on the map although the location is far to the west and north of my real location.

    Are you using the latitude and longitude values in the profile to determine the position on the map?

    Uhm, first of all... Do you use the new WEDAAL-map (left WEDAAL-symbol with the "earth" in it) or the old WEDAAL-service (static map)?

    To answer your first question: All stations must be unlocked by an administrator. The reason is simple: we have many false-entrys so that we have to make contact with the owner of the page to correct the URL etc. If an WEDAAL-entry is correct, it will be unlocked within 24 hours.

    If your station is located uncorrect, please recalculate your location by using Google Earth. Please note that the correct location must made in "degrees centigrade", e.g. 8.43521 East, 48.25147 North.

    Thank you for the quick response.

    The reason that I asked about activation as I may be signing up more users and would like to know of the proper procedure. Should new users contact you via email to activate? If so, which email address should they use?

    As far as my latitude and longitude go, they are:

    Latitude: 42.5287
    Longitude: -83.7958

    I have verified that these are correct.

    I am viewing the static maps, not google maps.

    Contacting me via email is the quickest way to communicate, because I am not 24/7 here at the board.

    When I unlock users I check the wedaal.txt-files if they are correct and if so, the stations are being unlocked.

    The old static map is a little uncorrect as the created maps for WEDAAL do not have correct borders and 'corners' for the implementation at WEDAAL, the Google-map should be correct. This is the reason why we made WEDAAL V2.0 (with Google-maps).

    Have you ever checked your position here? Is that correct?

    I did check the position on the google map section of the site and it was located correctly.

    Is there a way to start the Google maps page over a different territory than Germany or is that always the default?
